How it is made

Basket Revolution is a family business, working in British Columbia since 2002. The people who design the baskets are the people who pack them. Nothing is pre-assembled and nothing is outsourced — each basket is put together after the order arrives, which is how the fruit is chosen fresh for that day.

Delivery

Hand delivery is available in Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam, east Coquitlam, Walnut Grove and North Surrey, including Guildford. Delivery to other eligible Metro Vancouver and Lower Mainland destinations may be available by courier, usually within 1–2 business days. Baskets containing wine are delivered within British Columbia only, to an adult aged 19 or over.

For longer-distance courier deliveries, the fresh fruit selection may be adjusted to include firmer varieties such as apples and pears, which travel better. Depending on the destination, some fruit may also be replaced with suitable shelf-stable gourmet items to preserve freshness, presentation and overall value during transit. Frequently asked questions

Can I choose red or white wine?

Yes. Both are British Columbia VQA wines and you can select red or white at checkout. If you would prefer sparkling wine, Prosecco, a non-alcoholic sparkling beverage, mineral water or natural lemonade instead, leave a note with your order and we will make the change before packing.

What stays with the recipient after the picnic?

The willow basket and the picnic towel are part of the gift and stay with them. Towels are cotton or bamboo and the pattern varies with what we have in the studio, so no two baskets look quite the same. Both are chosen to be used again rather than put away.

Can this basket be sent outside British Columbia?

Not with the wine included. Gifts containing liquor are delivered within British Columbia only. For recipients outside BC we can substitute a non-alcoholic sparkling beverage or natural lemonade and send the basket by courier — leave a note at checkout and we will confirm before dispatch.

What happens to the fresh fruit on a longer delivery?

For destinations further from our studio we choose firmer fruit such as apples and pears, which travel well. Where a longer route would put the fruit at risk, we replace part of it with shelf-stable gourmet items of equal or greater value, so the basket arrives looking and tasting as it should.

Can you adjust the basket for dietary needs?

Yes, at no extra cost. Leave a note at checkout for vegetarian, gluten-free or alcohol-free preferences and we will substitute by hand before the basket is wrapped. If you are unsure what the recipient can eat, write to us before ordering and we will suggest an arrangement.
