Product selection varies a little with seasonal freshness and availability. Where substitutions are required we choose items of equal or greater quality and value, keeping the character of the gift intact.

Classic or Deluxe

Classic — the original Savory Treats basket.

Deluxe — a fuller presentation with additional gourmet items, which may include extra cheese, premium nuts, more fruit, artisan chocolate or upgraded savoury treats.

The basket itself

The gourmet selection is arranged in a large, sturdy willow basket with two handles and a cloth lining. It is meant to be kept — for storage, for shopping, or for a picnic — rather than put away after the food is gone.

How it is made

Basket Revolution is a family business, working in British Columbia since 2002. The people who design the baskets are the people who pack them. Nothing is pre-assembled and nothing is outsourced — each basket is put together after the order arrives, which is what makes it possible to choose the fruit on the day.

Delivery

Orders placed before 11:00 AM Pacific Time, Monday to Friday, are dispatched the same business day. This basket travels by courier with tracking across British Columbia and Canada, and can be hand-delivered in our local area. Delivery areas, rates and transit times are on our delivery page.

For longer courier routes we favour firmer fruit — apples and pears travel well, ripe stone fruit does not. On the longest journeys some fruit may be replaced with shelf-stable gourmet items of equal or greater value, so the basket arrives looking as it should.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Classic and Deluxe?

Classic is the original basket as described above. Deluxe adds further gourmet items — usually extra cheese, premium nuts, more fruit or upgraded savoury treats — in a fuller presentation. Both arrive in the same willow basket.

Which cheese is included?

Castello Brie or Camembert — both are shelf-stable until opened, which is why they travel well in a gift. The variety depends on what we have from our distributor at the time of packing.

Can it be delivered the same day?

Same-day hand delivery is available in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows for orders placed before 11:00 AM Pacific Time, Monday to Friday. Elsewhere in Metro Vancouver the basket is dispatched the same day and delivered by courier, usually the next business day. Delivery rates are on our delivery page.

How long will the fruit and cheese keep?

Fruit is chosen at a ripeness suited to the delivery date and is ready to eat on arrival or within a day or two. Refrigerate the cheese and pâté once the basket is opened, and eat the softer fruit first.

Can you adjust it for dietary needs?

Yes, at no extra charge. Leave a note at checkout for gluten-free, dairy-free or nut-free preferences and we will substitute by hand before the basket is wrapped. If you are unsure what the recipient can eat, write to us before ordering.
