Persian New Year Gift Baskets

Persian gift baskets built around fresh and dried fruit, nuts, sweets and tea — hand-made in our Maple Ridge studio and delivered across Metro Vancouver.

The tradition these baskets come from is a generous one. Dried figs and apricots, pistachios and almonds, dates, nougat and rosewater sweets, alongside black tea and saffron. They are meant to be set out for visitors rather than opened privately, which is why they are built to be shared.

Nowruz. Most of these baskets are sent for Persian New Year, at the spring equinox in March. For Nowruz orders we include a dish of growing sabzeh — wheatgrass sprouted in our studio — so the gift arrives ready for the Haft-sin table. Sabzeh is grown to order, so please allow extra time in the weeks before Nowruz.

Yalda. On the longest night of the year in December, pomegranates, nuts and dried fruit are shared until morning. Several of these baskets suit Yalda without any change.

They also travel well as a housewarming gift, a thank-you, or a gift to a family who will recognise what is inside.

Orders placed before 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time, Monday to Friday, are prepared and dispatched the same day. Same-day hand delivery is available in Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam, east Coquitlam, Walnut Grove and North Surrey for a flat $20. Elsewhere we ship by courier with tracking.
