Corporate Sympathy Basket Vancouver
The Corporate Sympathy Basket is a hand-delivered condolence gift containing West Coast Wild smoked salmon, Castello cheese, Made Chocolates truffles, fresh muffins & bannocks from our partner bakery and HardBite chips, assembled in our Maple Ridge studio and delivered by hand across our local area.
When someone on the team loses a parent, a partner, a child — the company wants to do something that is more than a card and less awkward than flowers from a catalogue. This basket is what that looks like. It arrives at the door with enough food to put out for the relatives who will be coming and going all week, fresh baked goods that smell like someone cared enough to bake, and a card that carries the words your team actually chose.
The most honest thing a customer has ever written on one of these cards was six words: "We cannot imagine. We are here." Another team sent one that said: "We are all so sorry for the pain you must feel as you grieve, and we hope for the day his memory brings a smile instead of a tear." If you are not sure what your team should write, our guide to what to write in a sympathy card draws on twenty-four years of real messages — including a section on corporate condolence wording.

The detail no one else thinks of
If the family includes children, tell us their ages and interests in the order notes. We will include an age-appropriate book, a quiet activity, a small toy or a treat — something that says the company thought about the whole family, not just the colleague. A child who has just lost a parent does not need gourmet crackers. They need someone to notice that they are there.
If no family details are provided, we direct the full value toward additional gourmet and comfort items for the household.
Hand delivery only
This basket contains fresh muffins and bannocks from our partner bakery and is hand-delivered in Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam, Northeast Coquitlam, Walnut Grove and North Surrey/Guildford. It cannot be shipped by courier. Please allow one to two business days for preparation.
Delivery areas, rates and transit times are on our delivery page.
Sending condolences outside our hand-delivery area? The Sympathy Wine & Gourmet Gift Basket ($179) reaches any address in British Columbia by courier. The Sympathy & Comfort Gift Box ($115) ships anywhere in Canada.
Multiple recipients or locations
When a company loses more than one person, or needs to send condolences to several families at once, email sales@basketrevolution.com or download our corporate order template. One spreadsheet, one invoice. We handle the logistics and the individual family items for each household.
Substitutions
Each basket is created individually. Gourmet products, the family item and the presentation container vary with availability and the information provided. When substitutions are necessary, we choose alternatives of equal or greater value, keeping the generous and comforting character of the gift intact.
Frequently asked questions
Can our company send this to an address outside Metro Vancouver?
This basket is hand-delivery only because it contains fresh baked goods. For addresses outside our delivery area, the Sympathy Wine & Gourmet Gift Basket ($179) reaches anywhere in BC, and the Sympathy & Comfort Gift Box ($115) ships across Canada. Both are in our sympathy collection.
How quickly can it be delivered?
Because the basket includes fresh muffins and bannocks from our partner bakery, please allow one to two business days for preparation. If you need a sympathy gift sooner, the Sympathy & Comfort Gift Box ($115) contains no baked goods and is dispatched the same business day.
What should we write on the card from the team?
Use "we" and "our" and sign with the team or company name. Short is better than long. Our sympathy card writing guide has a section on corporate and workplace condolence messages with real examples.
Can we include something for the children in the family?
Yes. Tell us their ages and interests in the order notes and we will include an age-appropriate book, activity, toy or treat. If you do not know the ages, mention that children are in the household and we will choose something universally suitable.
Can we set up an account so we do not have to re-order each time?
Yes. Corporate clients with recurring sympathy needs can email sales@basketrevolution.com to set up a standing arrangement — we keep your preferences, card template and billing on file so future orders take one email.
