Guardian Angel for Dog

A hand-painted Guardian Angel for a dog — a small cross with a dog above it, painted individually and wrapped in burlap. No two are quite the same.

Each one carries a line on the back. Life is better with dogs, We love our pup angel, My angel always falls on its feet, among others. The colours and the wording vary with what has been painted, so the one that arrives will be its own.

These began as something for a child's room. Val wanted colour on the walls — something cheerful for our son to wake up to — and painted the first angels for him. The cats and dogs came later, for the households where the pet is part of the family.

How it is given

This is an addition to a gift basket rather than a gift on its own — our minimum order is $65. Add it to the same order as any basket and we place it inside the gift, so it arrives as part of the basket rather than as a second parcel.

It suits a birthday for someone whose dog is the centre of the house, a new puppy, or a sympathy gift when a dog has died. It is small, light and needs no refrigeration, so it travels anywhere we ship.

Why a keepsake changes a gift

Food is finished within a week. A painted ornament stays on a shelf or a tree for years. At $17 it is the least expensive way to make a gift last.

Delivery

Orders placed before 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time, Monday to Friday, are prepared and dispatched the same day. Hand delivery is available in Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam, Northeast Coquitlam, Walnut Grove and North Surrey including Guildford. Elsewhere we ship by courier with tracking. Frequently asked questions

Are they all the same?

No. Each is painted by hand, so the colours differ between them, and the line written on the back varies too. If you would like a particular colour, tell us in the order notes and we will choose from what is painted at the time.

Can I buy one on its own?

Not by itself — our minimum order is $65, so an angel is added to a gift basket rather than sent alone. Choose any basket from our range and add this to the same order.

Do you make one for cats?

Yes, in the same style — a hand-painted cross with a cat above it, with its own set of lines on the back.

Can it be sent outside British Columbia?

Yes, inside a basket. It is light, unbreakable in normal handling and needs no refrigeration, so it travels by courier anywhere in Canada.
